Security Officer (Expert)
This course is intended for experienced security professionals who want to refine their expertise and fulfill a leadership position at the highest level within security operations. The focus is on strategically managing large-scale security operations, providing detailed and proactive security briefings, and developing, implementing and rigorously testing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure continuity and optimal security. Participants will not only learn to analyze risks and threats in depth and develop effective security strategies, but also how to “sell” the importance of security both internally and externally. This means convincing stakeholders, management and employees of the necessity and benefits of robust security measures.
In addition, much attention is paid to coaching leadership and “leading by example.” Coaching leadership means that managers support and guide their team in developing their own capabilities, instead of simply assigning tasks. “Leading by example” means that security leaders themselves demonstrate the behavior and work ethic that they expect from their team, which creates more respect and involvement within the team. After completing this training, participants will be able to lead high-level security programs, coach and inspire teams, and create support for security both within and outside their organization.
Our training courses are built up from learning units that offer a flexible structure. Each learning unit can be followed independently and offers fully rounded knowledge and skills, but can also be combined as part of a broader training program. The training is built up from a standard set of learning units that together form the training.

Simon
Security SpecialistSimon began his career in the protection of high-risk objects. For over twenty years, he has applied proactive security methods, physical security measures, and counterintelligence knowledge. In 2012, he was invited to teach Security Questioning, Proactive Threat Assessment (predictive profiling), Quality Assurance, Krav Maga, and more to various clients, including government organizations and private individuals. Simon is fluent in both Dutch and English.
Martijn
Education SpecialistMartijn is a cognitive psychologist and educational scientist with experience as a university lecturer in psychology. He has conducted research on the cognitive effects of stress in military personnel. In addition, he is an active firefighter and has contributed to the development of Dutch fire service education. Since 2016, he has also provided training in (military) self-defense. His passion lies in developing and delivering high-quality education for emergency services and defense, combining academic expertise with practical experience.
After completing the training, you will receive a certificate. The certificate is valid for 1 year. After this, it is possible to extend the certificate by means of a recertification training.
