Government Weapons Technician
This training is developed for professionals who require in-depth knowledge of weapons, ammunition, and related government equipment. This includes technicians responsible for weapon inspections, repairs, and acceptance testing.
A weapons technician plays a crucial role within Defense and other government services by ensuring all weapons and ammunition function optimally. This includes maintenance and repair of a wide range of weapons, from handguns to machine guns.
Key skills for a weapons technician include extensive technical knowledge of mechanics and electronics, the ability to maintain and repair weapons, and performing regular inspections and testing to ensure the safety and reliability of weapons.
This training is only suitable for government employees. The course, consisting of small groups of up to 8 participants, is carefully designed to provide a thorough and practice-oriented learning experience. The curriculum is divided into 12 modules and offers comprehensive support through study supervisors, instructors, and guest lecturers.
Practical components include assembly and disassembly of various firearm systems, shooting sessions at professional ranges to study different systems. Interim tests are used to evaluate participant progress. Each participant receives a training manual for self-study and reference, available both in print and digitally.
Participants also have opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills through study visits to companies, services, and institutions. Where possible, visits to trade fairs are organized. The training also includes internships and certifications at factories, ending with a final test to confirm acquired competencies.
All (guest) instructors and teachers at Condor O&T are industry experts who have jointly developed the training programs. Besides having many years of teaching experience, our instructors are internally trained and certified in the latest didactic insights. This guarantees the provision of high-quality training content.

Firearms and Ammunition SpecialistRonny began his career in the military as a Marine at the Netherlands Marine Corps, where he completed his training in vehicle technology. His passion for sports shooting led to specializations in long-range shooting and external ballistics. After completing the firearms course and the vocational training for the trade in weapons and ammunition, he worked as a firearm technician in the civilian arms trade. With over 13 years of experience in various firearm systems and ballistics, he also serves as a guest lecturer and examiner for the firearms trade course at the Dutch Police Academy in Apeldoorn.

After completing the training, participants receive a certificate without an expiration date. Additionally, a certificate is awarded after completion of factory internships, valid for 3 years.
