Ammunition Assembly
The course covers theoretical and practical knowledge about self-assembling small caliber ammunition (up to and including .50), including testing and analyzing ammunition problems. Participants learn the necessary techniques and skills for safe and responsible ammunition management.
This course is only suitable for government employees. The course offers extensive theoretical and practical knowledge and skills regarding the assembly of small caliber ammunition. Important topics include testing and evaluating ammunition and analyzing ammunition problems. The goal is to educate participants in the knowledge and skills necessary for the safe, responsible, and professional assembly of ammunition from loose components.
The course is intended for participants who can handle firearms and ammunition in a responsible and safe manner. The content includes both elementary theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Participants learn to independently assemble cartridges from basic components, conditions for test firing and ammunition evaluation, and analyzing potential problems during testing.
The learning objectives include knowledge of legal frameworks, types and calibers of cartridges, equipment and manufacturing methods, and procedures for testing small caliber ammunition. Additionally, participants develop insight into ballistic processes, the application of various types of ammunition, and the use and evaluation of self-assembled ammunition. The skills include determining the most suitable components, independently assembling cartridges, testing ammunition, and analyzing ammunition defects and problems.
Various teaching methods are used in the course, such as theoretical material (delivered digitally), self-study, presentations, educational discussions, and practical instructions. The course includes 3 contact days and is limited to a maximum of 8 participants. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of participation.

His passion for sports shooting led to specializations in long-range shooting and external ballistics. After completing the firearms course and the vocational training for the trade in weapons and ammunition, he worked as a firearm technician in the civilian arms trade. With over 13 years of experience in various firearm systems and ballistics, he also serves as a guest lecturer and examiner for the firearms trade course at the Dutch Police Academy in Apeldoorn.

After completing the course, the participant receives a certificate. The certificate is valid for 2 years. Afterwards, it is possible to renew the certificate through a recertification course.
